As a dimensional portrait photographer, I am obsessed with one thing: light.

Not just the technical properties of it—the F-stops and the Kelvin temperatures—but the soul of it. Light is the tool I use to sculpt, to reveal, and to honour. It's how I create the "visual depth" of Dimensional Portraiture. But more importantly, it is the key to revealing the second, more crucial part: the "emotional depth."


So many of my clients arrive feeling nervous, telling me, "I'm just so awkward in front of a camera" or "I never know how to pose." This is a fear I deeply understand, and it's why my entire process is built to be a safe, free, and affirming environment. My technical skill isn't for show; it's to create a seamless, supportive space where you no longer have to think about the camera. It’s in this safe space that your authentic character can come forward.


The Craft: More Than Just a Light


My approach, as you'll see in the video below, is often minimalist. I am a firm believer in using a single, beautifully sculpted light, often blending it with the soft, natural light we find in a London street or a quiet Hampshire field.

Why this method?


Because it allows me to be an artist, not just a technician. I can move freely, directing the light to create a cinematic, sophisticated feel that has real depth [03:02].
